The U.S. military in its annual report on China’s military capabilities informed the congress on Wednesday that China was deploying advanced n-missile on Indian border. Inspite of growing economic ties between the two nations there seems to be high level of distrust between them. In the report they further expressed concern over China’s advances which might jeopardize America’s longstanding military dominance in the Pacific.

The report suggests that the Peoples Liberation Army (PLA) has in its possession much latest equipment which can enhance its war fare tactics. PLA had replaced the CSS-2 Intermediate Range Ballistic Missiles with its CSS-5 Medium Range Ballistic Missile systems.

PLA have deployed more advanced and survivable solid-fuel nuclear capable CSS-5 MRBM missiles replacing the liquid fuelled nuclear-capable CSS-2 IRBMs.

China will have a advanced military capable of prolonged high-intensity combat operations by the end of this decade. PLA by then shall be in possession of deadly long-range nuclear missiles, an expanding blue-water Navy with potent space and cyber warfare abilities.

Recently the PLA also included a new aircraft carrier that recently held its first sea trial. The new carrier, a Ukrainian ship modified by the Chinese, “will serve initially as a training and evaluation platform, and eventually offer a limited operational capability,” it said.

China is increasingly focused on naval power and has invested in hi-tech weaponry that will extend its reach in the Pacific and beyond, the Pentagon said. The advances mean China will by 2020 close a technological gap that once left it lagging far behind major powers. 
India’s must also consider about the growing relationship between Pakistan and China. The major irritant in the ties, between the two countries with India are the border issues.
