Terror Attack: 7 Tourists Killed in Amarnath Yatra:- In a terror attack seven tourists for Amarnath yatra have been killed after several terrorists opened fire in Jammu & Kashmir's Batengoo in Anantnag district which is located 50 kms from Srinagar. The incident took place Monday night and sources revealed that a police camp located nearby too has been attacked. The toll could be higher informed a source from the location. As per the information, the bus in which the terrorists mobbed the location has not been registered with Amarnath shrine board for permitting over the premises. The bus was in after the permitted hours and had no security which is mandatory.

Terror Attack in JK

The attack has been perfectly planned and it comes on the first day of shravan which is associated with Lord Shiva. Amarnath yatra is quite prestigious and the cops took special care as the tourists have been coming up every year in huge numbers. The police bunker at Batengoo has been initially attacked and a fire has been reported but no one was injured in the attack. It was then there has been an attack on the police outpost near Khanabal. Soon after this a tourist bus turned out to be the target and the terrorists started firing targeting the pilgrims. The bus has been travelling to Baltal from Jammu and it had no convoy.

The cops collected all the information and the bus bearing registration number GJ 09Z 9976 was registered on the name of Umiya Sai Travels from Idar and it has been sold to Om Travels, Valsad. The bus owner Jawahar Desai's son Harsh Desai has been on board and was returning back from Amarnath. Harsh too has been inured in the incident. Hizbul Mujahideen and Lashkar-e-Toiba are the suspects in the attack. The attack came out after the cops have been hunting for the terrorist acts in the area after an information from the key sources.

A source informed that the terrorists had no specific target and they wanted to kill the tourists as it is the season of Amarnath yatra. However the police points too have been targeted so that they cannot be defended. The terrorists targeted as much public as they can kill. CRPF chief Rajiv Bhatnagar said "The bus was not registered with the Amarnath board and soon after the official convoy passed at 7 PM, there has been limited security in the area during which the terrorist attack took place. We have been asking each and everyone to take safety measures and stick away from highways after the sunset.
