After a Long High Drama, Kumaraswamy Loses Trust Vote:- Karnataka politics witnessed huge high drama after 15 rebel MLAs from Congress and JDS walked out of the alliance leaving the government in trouble. After 18 days, the high drama came to an end and HD Kumaraswamy's government lost in the trust vote last evening in the state's Assembly. The stage is now set for BJP to return back to the power in the state. Congress and JDS alliance could stand for just 14 months. Congress and JDS alliance had 99 members and BJP got 10 in the house of 225 members. The Speaker and the nominated member were not eligible to vote.

After losing the trust vote, Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy headed to Raj Bhavan and submitted his resignation to Governor Vajubhai Vala. Kumaraswamy was asked to continue as the caretaker Chief Minister till the new government is formed. BS Yeddyurappa said it was the victory of the people and it is an end to the corrupted alliance. BJP is expected to claim the government today and Narendra Modi, Amit Shah will take the call on the new Chief Minister of the state. Source say that BS Yeddyurappa is the first and only choice. Congress leader Siddaramaiah said that they will not allow the rebel MLAs to join the party again.
