Were those the new iPad mini LTE?

At a planned heist in world's busiest airports, JKF, NY, a batch of 3,600 new Apple iPad Minis were stolen by two unknown people. The tablets were worth $ 1.5 million in all.

Two men casually managed to walk to the airport territory and obtained access to use the forklifts at the airport as they unloaded two pallets of the latest tablets into their own vehicle. They were intercepted by airport personnel before they could take the remaining three in the airport.

This is suspected to be an inside job considering the high security at the airport.

The iPads were just in town from China and meant to be distributed in the US. This means that 3,600 fans would have to be disappointed that they would have to wait longer to lay their hands on one of these mini beasts.

Meanwhile TechCrunch speculated, "Apple is known to be shipping out its first batch of LTE iPad minis this week, so it's possible this shipment was part of that rollout. If so, it's possible that means 3,600 expectant Apple fans are going to be disappointed, but Apple could also very theoretically redirect stock destined for store shelves to make up the difference".
