Technical Snag: Chandrayaan 2 Mission Called Off:- A few minutes before the launch of Chandrayaan 2, the country's second moon mission has been called off due to a technical error. Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) made an announcement about the mission during the early hours of today from Satish Dhawan Space Centre (SHAR). "A technical snag was observed in launch vehicle system at 1 hour before the launch. As a measure of abundant precaution, #Chandrayaan2 launch has been called off for today. The revised launch date will be announced later" announced ISRO.

Indian President Ram Nath Kovind came to Sriharikota for the launch which turned out to be a major setback for ISRO. With years of hard work and over Rs 1000 crores spent on the mission, ISRO was not in a mood to take any risk and called off Chandrayaan 2 as of now. ISRO is expected to make an announcement about the launch soon. ISRO will first find out the reason for the technical snag in the system and will make all the necessary changes. Last year in April, Israel's Beresheet lunar craft crashlanded on the moon after which Chandrayaan 2 launch was postponed from April to July this year by ISRO.
