Twitter Suspends 70 Million Accounts In Two Months:- Social media giant Twitter suspended over a million accounts on regular basis from the past couple of months to reduce the flow of misinformation on its platform. As per the reports from The Washington Post, as many as 70 million twitter handles have been suspended in a span of two months. After being criticized that the social media giant has been doing too little to prevent the spread of false content, Twitter took this bold step.

In the months of May and June, Twitter suspended 70 million accounts and the pace is going up in July. Twitter has 336 million monthly active users. “Due to technology and process improvements during the past year, we are now removing 214 percent more accounts for violating our spam policies on a year-on-year basis" revealed Twitter in an official statement.
