10 Indian Workers Die Regularly In Gulf Countries:- It may be quite shocking and surprising, but it is true. On an average, 10 Indian workers die on regular basis across the Gulf countries and this happened from the last six years. This translates to 117 deaths for every 1 billion USD remitted to the country from these gulf countries. A voluntary group revealed this sour fact based on the analysis of RTI response.

Venkatesh Nayak who represents Commonwealth Human Rights Initiative requested the date from the External Affairs Ministry about the deaths of Indians working in Bahrain, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Qatar and United Arab Emirates from January 2012 to the mid of 2018. Indian missions in Bahrain, Oman, Saudi Arabia and Qatar provided the data. Almost 24,570 Indian workers died in the above mentioned Gulf countries in the past six years. The number could go up and they are more than 10 on regular basis.
