Being a mother... dream of every woman...

So, is your's... but at times, for the reasons not known, your pregnancy is delayed... here are some posts, related to getting pregnant, sooner, to fulfill your dream of being a complete woman;

1. When you go to the gynecologist for your annual exam (or just make an appointment) be sure to tell them that you would like to get pregnant and ask if there is anything in your medical history that may need to be under control prior to trying to conceive. Ask for any advice they can give you. Some of the more common causes of infertility are insulin resistance, polycystic ovarian syndrome, and sperm motility issues. I was unaware that I had insulin resistance, which unfortunately for me, had no symptoms except for infertility.

2. Buy a basal body thermometer and start charting your cycles to determine when you ovulate, because having intercourse on the days prior to ovulation increase your chances of becoming pregnant. You may also want to get an ovulation predictor kit. Charting also helps to keep a record of when you ovulate every cycle and this information can be useful to your doctor if you should have any problems conceiving. It will also help you to know when to take a pregnancy test.

If you are planning on TTC then make sure you start taking your Folic Acid straight away, doctors advise you to do this 3 months before ttc and the first 3 months of pregancy. I came off the pill last Nov and have been TTC for nearly a year now, they say it takes some women longer than others it just depends on the individual! tips are;

*Have Baby dance every other day for the whole month every other day because the sperm is sronger (remember sperm stays alive inside you for up to 7 days so if you are not sure when you ovulate then by doing this increases your chances;

*Take some Multi Vitamins + Folic Acid

*Eat Healthily

*Don't drink alcohol or smoke

*Drink lot's of water

3. Know that it is normal to take 6 months to a year to conceive. Try not to stress out about getting or not getting pregnant as stress can delay your period and make the process longer. Good Luck!
