The US Government has been trying to accommodate the students of the now closed Tri-Valley University in other universities, state department spokesman P.J.Crowley told a press conference in Washington on Friday.
The issue of accommodating the students in other universities is being carefully considered by the Homeland Security officials, he said adding that all those students who are not implicated in the visa scam and who are not related to the investigations are likely to be shifted to various universities.
It may be mentioned that more than 1,500 Indian students were affected by the closure of the Tri-Valley University in January as the University management is involved visa scam.
At present, more than 50 per cent of the adversely affected students are in the process of being reinstated at other universities, according to the Indian Embassy officials in the US.
Secretary of State Hillary Clinton also assured in a letter to the Indian Ambassador that the interests of all Indian students, adversely affected by the visa scam involving the Tri-Valley University, will be effectively taken care of.
