Rajani was admitted to Sri Ramachandra Medical Centre, Porur in Chennai on Saturday after he complained of uneasiness and doctors, after conducting tests, determined he was suffering from pneumonia, renal and gastro-intestinal problems.
The doctors found fluid accumulation between lungs and chest cavity, higher levels of creatinine in blood showing signs of kidney disorders and other gastrointestinal problems.
Doctors said that he was being continuously supported with antibiotics and oxygen to clear infection but he was not in the ICU.
The 61- year old actor was earlier admitted to the St Isabel hospital on April 29 but was discharged the same day. But he was again admitted to the ICU of the same hospital on May 4 with breathing difficulty and was discharged a week later.
The family is now thinking of taking him abroad for proper treatment for his quick recovery but other details of the trip are not as yet available.
