The 32-year old Norwegian mass killer Anders Behring Breivik, who was arrested for en masse murder of around 90 people in a tourist Island near Oslo on Saturday and who praised India’s Hindu nationalist movement in the manifesto of his proposed organization the Justiciar Knights, got his organization’s badge made from an Indian firm in Varanasi.
He reportedly contacted the Varanasi firm ‘Indian Art Company’ one year ago through email and ordered two badges by paying an amount of $150. The details of how he made the badge were mentioned in his manifesto.
The badge of the Justiciar Knight portrays a white skull having the symbols of communism, Islam and Nazism on the forehead through which the cross of the martyrs passes through as can be seen in the accompanying image.
In a telephonic chat with reporter of a national daily in Delhi, Mohammad Aslam Ansari of the ‘Indian Art Company’ also confirmed saying that he provided two sample badges and expected bulk orders from the Norwegian. “But I failed to get bulk orders,” he said.
“I don’t remember the name of the person who had contacted me through e-mail and had asked me to send samples of the badge,” he said.
