Delhi based actress and model Salina Wali Khan today threatened to undress and dance naked in support of the 73-year old Gandhian Anna Hazare if the Centre doesn’t accede to his demand. Anna Hazare has been on fast demanding the parliament to pass Jan Lok Pal Bill.
“I will undress and dance naked in support of Anna Hazare and the common people if the Government doesn’t ensure the passage of the Jan Lok Pal Bill by Parliament by August 30,” Khan told the ‘Mid-day’ daily in an interview.
Observing that she was also a victim of corruption, Khan described Anna as an innocent person who was striving for the common people of the country and for making the country corruption-free.
“Don’t compare me with others who came out with such offers in the past for the sake of name, publicity and attracting media attention,” she said, adding, “I want to do it for my country and for the common people.”
You might as well by now remember the Mumbai based model Punam Pandey who offered to undress and run naked before a packed stadium if India won the 2011 world cricket cup. India won the cricket cup but Punam never kept her promise citing police case.
