National Transitional Council (NTC) proposes to form a new set of policies in the wake of the revolution yielding positive results. The policies would liberate Libya and help it scale over the damages created by the Libyan dictator, Col. Gaddafi’s 42 year rule.
A spokesman of NTC said that Gaddafi was already history in the eyes of the rebels. He further added that their political heads planned high-level talks in Qatar on Wednesday with envoys of the United States, Britain, France, Turkey and the United Arab Emirates on the way ahead. The next meeting was scheduled for Thursday in Istanbul.
The U.S. State Department said it was seeking the immediate release of up to $1.5 billion of frozen Libyan government assets to the rebels. These funds could be put to use in rebuilding liberated Libya.
Nicaragua firmly denied reports that Col.Gaddafi had sought asylum in their country. But also ascertained that it would not object as in the past years Nicaraguan political leaders took asylum in the east, says an aide to President Daniel Ortega.
China's foreign ministry has vowed to ensure the safety of Chinese citizens in Libya, state media reports.
On the whole the west seems to enjoy the Libyan Movement and extended full support to the NTC.
