Martyrdom or Victory – Col Gaddafi

Martyrdom or Victory Col GaddafiAmidst a chaotic situation in Tripoli both the sides, the rebels and the pro-Gaddafi forces, claim to have had the upper hand in the aggression. A pro-Gaddafi channel claims that the Leader has vowed that martyrdom or victory in the fight against aggression.

In a phone call to the pro-Gaddafi channel, the official spokesman of the Gaddafi Government, Moussa Ibrahim stated that he condemned the rebels and claimed that thousands of tribesmen were converging on Tripoli to fight against them. He further added that the rebels wanted to destroy Libya. They had already destroyed services, electricity, water supplies, houses, schools.

He said that the main objective of the opposition forces was to present a destroyed Libya on a golden platter to the foreign companies, so that they will come to Libya to rebuild these services and to get a piece of the cake. But he further warned that it will not be a piece of cake but will be a bomb that will explode on their faces.

"There are 12,000 tribesmen who are gathering now to coordinate and those tribes surrounding Tripoli, the volunteers will move into Tripoli and they will fight. The city will be filled with people from the tribes and they will confront those rebels. And I don't think the rebels will stand a chance in that fight because they haven't got the means to do that. They always ask Nato to help them, to intervene all the time. I think in two or three days Tripoli will be ours again," Mr Ibrahim added.

In the meantime a National Transitional Council (NTC) spokesman, Ahmed Jabril said that it is only a matter of time before Col Gaddafi is captured, some other people are saying he might have left the capital towards the south. I think the issue now is not where Gaddafi is. It's about when he'll be arrested. Gaddafi, in our view, is no longer the leader of the country. He's a fugitive and he must be arrested as soon as possible.

As of now the responses and claims are contradictory, the truth shall dawn in a few hours from now. But both the sides are hoping to succeed in this war.
