Hegde, Agnivesh ask Anna to end fast

Hegde Agnivesh ask Anna to end fast Team Anna, which is demanding the Parliament to pass the Jan Lok Pal Bill, seems to be developing cracks with a section led by former Karnataka Lokayukta Justice Santosh Hegde and social activist Swami Agnivesh insisting that Anna should call off his fast now.

Both Hegde and Swami Agnivesh are part of the Anna Team while Hegde is also a member of the joint drafting committee on Lok Pal Bill. Both of them strongly disapproved of Mr Hazare insisting on having his way in Parliament and asked him to give up his fast which has now entered the 11th day.

While Hegde expressed his unhappiness saying “I feel I am not in Team Anna any more by the way things are going”, Swami Agnivesh said that any appearance of threat to Parliament is unbecoming of a Gandhian.

“This is the right moment to call off the fast,” said both of them in strongest of the terms.
