Delhi being the political hub, lot of the males are from influential families or have those kind of contacts so they get away with all these things. Delhi police have taken into control of two men from educated families based on a complaint received on Thursday.

As per the issue two sisters were out on a shopping spree when the accused travelling in a Skoda car parked their vehicle and started passing lewd comments on them. The eldest retorted back at them. The offended duo pulled the younger into the moving vehicle and tried to speed away. Thanks to the signal turning red, the car had stopped due to heavy traffic.  The girl in the car and sister on the road were shouting which attracted passersby who stopped the car and thrashed the men. Later they were handed over to the police, who reached the spot after a complaint. A shocking revelation is that a girl was accompanying in the car at the incident but her whereabouts are unknown and is missing.

Meanwhile the police presented the accused in the district court at Rohini and the investigation is still on. A case of hurt, assault and wrongful restraint has been registered against them at the Rohini south police station.

But this is not a rare incident in the country’s Capital, according to claims by women on the roads, every girl has been a victim of eve teasing in Delhi. Whether it is a crowded bus, office, on road or anywhere girls are not safe. How to deal with this growing menace?  Do the other class not privileged to live life on their terms? Should we dictate them on their dresses and their ways of handling their issues from way to live to way to work? Either at home or on the roads are they safe? When are they going to get their independence as Bapuji wanted?
