As the planet earth’s human population is set to reach the figure of 7 billion (700 crores) today, UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon called upon the world to have unity of purpose among nations and societies to address the problems of climate change, economic crisis and inequality.
In a statement issued at the UNO, Mr Ban ki –Moon said that the nations must come together for the common good of the world by thwarting the threats of climate change, economic crisis, joblessness, inequality and intolerance.
“In the entire world, people are living in fear and most of the people believe the rulers are not in a position to deliver what they need,” said the UN Chief.
He called upon the nations to strive to build a more just, tolerant and inclusive world while working for finding global solutions for global problems in unity.
