Czech Man carrying 247 venomous snakes in suitcase held at airport

A resident of Czech was arrested in Argentina for attempting to enter a transatlantic flight with 247 live venomous snakes and reptiles which was packed in a bulging suitcase.
The man recognized as Karel Abelovsky (51) was apprehended while attempting to enter a flight for Madrid.The X-ray technicians and staff at Ezeiza Airport have shocked as they have noticed that some organic substances which were moving inside.
When they opened the bag, they found more than 200 reptiles and mollusks, among them nine species of poisonous snakes including South American pitvipers, packed in clear plastic containers.
There were also 15 poisonous vipers, including two yararas as which can measure up to five feet and several young boas.
Some of the animals were reported to be extremely rare and protected by the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species.Two of the animals were found dead and most of the others could have suffered the same fate due to a lack of oxygen if the suitcase had been placed in the plane's cargo area.
Infact the discovery was made on December 7 but the incident came to light very recently.The judge has accused Karel Abelovsky with attempted smuggling, If he declare guilty he needs to faces 10 years of imprisonment.
As the investigators are suspecting that their might be a rare species smuggling ring which was behind the trafficking attempt.
