On January 4 in Pune Social Security Cell of the city police Crime Branch has ceased a 32-year-old Ghana female for her immersion in a sex racket.As the police said she came to India on tourist visa nine months ago.
The police said in city it is the fourth arrest of a woman from a foreign country for immersion in prostitution.Along with the Ghana woman on Monday January 2 theres no one more woman who was arrested in the police action.As the police said on Nagar road these two woman were running sex racket in an apartment.As the city police recognized the Ghana woman as Shaila and Vimannagar resident Margaret Daniel Anthony as both of them currently living in Hindustan Apartment on Nagar Road.
Margaret allegedly ran a sex racket under the guise of working as personal masseuse. Margaret was introduced to Shaila through a common contact and suggested she work with her. Both then rented a flat in Yerwada for the purpose. A case was registered against the two at the Yerawada police station under relevant sections of the Prevention of Immoral Trafficking Act .
Shaila is the first person from Africa to be arrested for involvement in prostitution in the city. Acting on a tip-off received by Head Constable Ashok Takalkar, a team led Senior Police Inspector Bhanupratap Barge of the SSC raided the flat and nabbed the two women.
Asked about the increasing number of prostitution cases involving foreigners on tourist visas, Barge said, "Tourist visas are easily granted. Besides this, there are no restrictions on the movement of a person travelling on this kind of visa. So we suspect that these factors were responsible for the involvement of four arrested foreign women so far."
Very before the Sahar Airport police arrested this woman named Shaila who hailed from Ghana for messing around on date on her visa document.As the police said to meet her legal expenses in visa case filed against her,she was looking for a job she choosed prostitution to raise the money.The police team includes Additional Commissioner of Police Anant Shinde, DCP Rajesh Bansode and ACP Vinod Satav and several constables.
