Dial a burger, BK will home deliver in shape, at Washington

The contemplating issue of the soggy snack to remain in its shape and freshness has been a hindrance till now, to offer home delivery by major burgers in America.

Well good news for the burger enthusiasts who would like to nibble their delicacy in the cozy corners of your home. Burger King (BK) introduces `dial a Whooper service’ and when you dial, your choicest BK burger will reach you in stipulated time with the same shape and sizzling aroma as, at its outlet. The BK has devised a 'proprietary thermal packaging technology which ensures the food won't arrive cold and congealed.

The chief brand and operations officer Jonathan Fitzpatrick says, `the new packaging 'ensures the Whopper is delivered hot and fresh, and the French fries are delivered hot and crispy.' The package also includes hi-tech wrappers to ensure the food arrives piping hot. All this just for an additional delivery fee of, $ 2 for a minimum order of $ 8 - $ 10. Delivery times are 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Right now the home delivery is done from only four BK restaurants in the greater Washington area. Once the service becomes successful, the entire nation would be offered the service says Burger King, America’s second largest burger network.
