In a seemingly freak incident, a 1-year old boy in an Israel town killed a non-poisonous 35-centimeter long snake by biting and chewing it like a chocolate.

Imad Gadir from Shfaram in northern Israel was found chewing the snake in his room when his mother entered it. Horrified and shaken with fear, the mother raised an alarm and the neighbors had rushed to the spot and took out the remnants of the snake from the kid’s hands.

Commenting on the incident, a snake catcher said that the boy must have acted out of a childish instinct and put the snake into his mouth.

“If the snake is poisonous, the incident could have ended in tragedy and the boy would have died,” said a report quoting the snake charmer. Though the boy was found in good condition after the incident, he was taken to a nearby hospital for proper treatment as a precautionary measure. (JUBS)
