The Mumbai electorate which is gearing up for the BMC polls, but the lists seems to be goofed up with a lot of discrepancies. Lot of claims…. But one is interesting….

In the worst goof ups on the electoral rolls, a senior macho man from the administration has his gender changed. Poor officer, how would he have felt on noticing the change, (oops)!!!  As Mumbai is gearing up for BMC elections scheduled on the 16th of this month, the first list  was released last week and many started complaining about discrepancies…… photos changed, name differs, age differs…. and many more. But the interesting one is about the change of gender in the 2nd only to state election commissioner, rolls.

Addl Chief Secretary of the State Election Commission, Chand Goel is stated as female in the electoral rolls. The officer’s surname too was misspelled. He is quoted to have said to a leading magazine that "There's an F instead of an M against my name in the electoral list. I had applied for the correction but till now the electoral list shows no change. Also, while voting, if any person objects on account of this error, I may not be able to vote, unless the presiding officer is convinced that the person in the list is indeed me

Even the sitting MP was not spared of embarrassment, Priya Dutt’s photo in the list was not hers. Oh God!! Seems alarming if the prominent are not spared than what will happen to lay men like YOU & ME!!!  (With inputs from internet: AarKay)
