Egyptian couple taken into custody for creating 'spouse swapping' Facebook page

A married couple who created a Facebook page for spouse swapping where taken into custody by Egyptian security forces.

The husband who is working as an accountant and his wife working as a nursery principal, as both the couples got an idea subsequently by looking at a related page which was set up by a Qatari man six months ago.

Police officials received information that several couples had become members of the Facebook page, which appeared to organise swaps for married couples, The Daily Mail reports.

The under cover officials sent a man and woman pretending they would be interested in a get-together to infiltrate their group, and later arrested the couple.

According to the paper, in a separate case in 2009, a Cairo court sentenced a man to seven years and his wife to three for setting up a swingers' club.

Well according to the controversial 1961 Egyptian law which permits suspects to be taken to the court for prostitution in spite of no money was exchanged.
