The Air India pilots, who are more than 400 in number, have been continung to strike for over 30 days on six tall demands. Even after court ordering them to call off the strike, they are not reporting to the duties. Therefore, Air India management is apparently getting ready for sacking all of the striking pilots. This decision was reportedly taken after the civial aviation minister said the ball was in the management's court.

Now strange questions are being discussed among the public. It's the safety of the Air Lines. It may be noted that Air India recently released advertisements calling the trained pilots on Boeing for interviews. Already more than 100 pilots were terminated and the letters were also dispatched.

But, the question is whether a pilot with minimum experience can shoulder such a big responsibility of carrying hundreds of people safely from one country to the other. In fact, ex-Air India director clearly said replacing 400 pilots from odd companies can result in repurcussions. He even cited Japan Airlines recruitment drive in 1960s that replaced its American pilots. That resulted in more than half-a-dozen mishaps in next nine years.

So, Air India management would probably now think twice since ex-Air India director made these statements.
