The doors of Maharashtra secretariat, Mantralaya have opened today after four days of fire mishap. The chief minister Prithviraj Chavan and other leaders and officials resumed their work today. The sources have said that visitors are hereafter not allowed to visit Mantralaya. A short ceremony would be conducted at Mantralaya for the deceased in the fire mishap. It may be noted that fire broke out at secretariat, which claimed five lives.
The chief minister has ordered a probe into the mishap while the opposition parties demanded an independent probe. It may be noted that several key documents were reduced to ashes in the mishap.
