Sunday night was fatal night for the old woman in Mumbai, who died in an accident. The old woman as per police was 70-years-old Chandan Bala who was run over by a Land Cruiser car owned by Bollywood actor and film maker Sohail Khan. The accident is supposed to have occured at 11pm last night near St Andrews Church in Bandra, Mumbai. However the actor was not present in the car and it was driven by his driver Dhananjay Pimpale. However the car was racing towards his home. The driver had hit and run, says an auto rickshaw driver who was a witness to the accident.

Another eyewitness said he and a constable rushed the woman to Bhabha Hospital. "But no doctor was attending to her; half an hour was wasted there. They told us to take the woman out of the hospital," he said. She was declared dead at the hospital. Police have detained the car driver and slapped charges of rash driving and culpable homicide not amounting to murder. Initial investigations revealed that he was not under the influence of alcohol of any sorts. (With inputs from internet- AW AarKay)
