Cell phone takes away his vision

A 12-year-old boy in Nagpur has lost his vision after his father's China made mobile phone blasted recently at Seoni Village in Yavatmal district. The incident came to light late. Mayur lost his vision due to a mobile phone. He was said to have played with his father's cheap handset while it was being charged. The phone blasted off suddenly, which left his eyes damaged. Although he was rushed to the hospital immediately, his right vision went for a toss. The doctors, who performed the surgery, said they were able to stop the infection from spreading to the brain.

The opthomologists have said that the incidents of cell phone blasting while they are charging are coming to light very often. They suggested not to go with cheap handsets made in China and in case someone uses such phones, it's better to leave the handsets alone when they are charged, added the doctors. Looking at the bitter experience Mathur had with mobile phone, other children are distancing themselves from handsets.
