Respite to the scorching heat in Delhi

Fighting many days of hot scorching sun, the temperatures in Delhi dropped down with cool morning breeze on Wednesday. The average minumum temperature was recorded at 29.2 degrees Celsius which is slightly higher than the average temperature this season. The weather forecast has also predicted a few light rains in random parts of the city.

The minimum temperature on Tuesday stood at 32.6 degrees while the maximum was at 40.7 degrees, which is 5 degrees higher than the average maximum temperature this season, but the cool breezes and the windy climate have cooled the mercury down by almost three degrees. However, the humidity recorded at 8:30 am was surprisingly high at 73%.

The India Meterological Department has forcasted clear skies until the afternoon and then the city would gradually become cloudy. There is also a hint of thundershowers in the city. An official from the department has also quoted that the rains would decide the commencement of the pre-monsoon rains.

The maximum and  minimum temperatures for the city would fluctuate between 38 and 28 degrees respectively. Though the temperatures have cooled down, it might take a few more days for the humidity to normalize and provide respite from the sultry conditions.
