Who knew a person would chew your nose off, if you rush to the bathroom without following the queue? JJ hospital in Mumbai had witnessed such a case, strange as it may sound, after her nose was bit off by a person waiting in the line. The police said that the accused person was not mentally stable and was at the Sayed Ali Mira Dargah, Sweri, for treatment as was the victim for the treatment of some knee problem.

According to the story of the police, Sharadadevi Dinanath Yadav, hailing from Uttar Pradesh had come all the way with her spouse intending to be treated for some knee problems. Anand Kashinath on the other hand was a resident of Juhu, who was being treated at the same dargah seeking help for his mental illness. After the maulana of the dargah handed him some holy ash he had an urge to pay a visit to the bathroom.

Just as he was entering the restroom, Sharadadevi cut him off and entered before him. She had to pay for her mistakes later in flesh from her nose. The mentally unstable Kashinath, in a fit of rage, bit the tip of her nose completely dislodging it from the place. Kashinath was seperated from her and tied off with a rope while relatives along with the bit of the nose paced to the JJ hospital.

Kahsinath was booked under section 325 of IPC as a punishment for voluntarily causing grievous hurt by the police of Sewri. A severely injured Sharadadevi, who had come for treatment for her knee now has an additional nose problem too. She may need cosmetic surgery, opined the doctors for repairing the disfigured face.
