
On Sunday, the new terminal in the NSC Bose international airport, Kolkata had welcomed a flight from Mumbai marking the successful trail run of the terminal.
The Mumbai Kolkata Flight with 84 passengers, including a baby, successfully landed on the new terminal after which the passengers disembarked the flight.
The Airport Authority of India was engaged in the modernisation work of the terminal since more than 3 years. The work began in November 2008 and was recently finished after which the trial run was performed.
The new structure is an L shaped terminal with a two tier facility for arrivals and departures. There is also a twin level underground parking with a capacity for 1250 cars to be parked.
