Tickets on the flights of London are very expensive and most of them have already been booked. The tickets for the opening ceremony are a dream but Karan Johar has received an official invitation  for the Olympics and witness the happenings along with 506 other dignitaries from various countries.

Karan Johar is the official ambassador for Visit Britain and is also the only one officially invited to London apart from Manmohan Singh to participate in the event. Manmohan Singh was invited by his counterpart in Britain, David Cameron as it was a protocol issue. But Karan Johar was invited by the British authorities themselves. He would have a reserved seat in a special box with the Presidents and Prime Ministers of the world.

Karan Johar has excitedly told that he was humbled by the offer. He also said that he would have said no a few days ago if he were asked about any plans to London due to the hectic schedule for the film Student of the Year and the TV show coffee with Karan. But the invitation had changed things for the celebrity. “When this invitation came through, I jumped at the opportunity. After all, it's a very prestigious event”, he said.

He added, “Merely being one among the crowd to witness this event of a lifetime is a memorable experience and I wouldnt miss it for anything in the world”. Letting the media know that sports was never his cup of tea or even area of interest, he said that he was positive that India would do well in the games, fingers crossed.
