After a episode of landslide attacked the bus near Keifang village, it had fallen into a valley killing over 18 people while 17 people were injured. This saddening accident took place only a 100km away from the capital city Aizwal during the very early hours of Saturday.

17 people died immediately while another person succumbed to the injuries on the way to the rural hospital in Saitual. The mishap occurred at around 12.45 am.
The identities of 9 people were established and 2 of them were tribals. Other than 2 people, all the injured were transferred to the Aizwal Civil Hospital for treatment, said the Aizawl Superintendent of Police L.R. Dingliana Sailo.
