Several workers from NSUI had assembled at Jantar Mantar and protested against the indefinite fasting by Team Anna members. On Wednesday, Team Anna members had started their indefinite hunger strike protesting against corruption and UPA government which seemed to take no action against the issue.

Anna Hazare's closest aides Arvind Kejriwal, Manish Sisodia and Gopal Rai all went on a hunger strike at Jantar Mantar while he himself is on a dharna.

Hazare had issued an ultiamatum that if the government officials take no action within 4 days he would also go on a fast along with his team members.

Hazare and his team had visited Rajghat to pay respects to the father of the nation before they started the protest.

They arrived at the stagee set for the protest at Jantar Mantar while voicing out slogans like Inquilab Zindabad and Bharat Mata ki Jai while his supporters waved the Indian flag.

Their demands include a strong Lokpal, setting up of a special team to probe corruption allegations against 15 Union ministers, including Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, setting up of a fast track court to try criminal cases against MPs and SIT looking into allegations against party chiefs.

Team Anna had termed the elevation of Pranab Mukherjee, now the 13th president of India, as an unfortunate one since he is now not answerable by anyone. They expressed their views that the probe should have cleared him to be clean before he swore in.
