Another Speeding BMW has put an end to the life of a 39 year odl man on Monday in the National Capital Region. The BMW was allegedly being driven by an MBBS student who lost control and drive head on into a Maruti Omni Eco van.
On the morning of 6th August at around 1:20 am, near Tilak Marg, the accident occurred while Mohammad Rafiq was going back home.
Ayush Arora, an MBBS student was the driver of the BMW who was an intern at the Maulana Azad Medical College, was returning from a get together along with two of his friends. The head-on collision had a great impact that had pushed Rafiq out of the windshield.
His van burnt in flames and charred. He was declared to be brought dead when taken to Lok Nayak Jai Prakash hospital. A post mortem is schduled today at 10 am.
Ayush was arrested immediately after the accident and was booked under the Indian Penal Code sections 279 and 304 A for rash driving and death by negligence.
The BMW is registered in the name of a doctor at Gangaram hospital. The police had confirmed that he was not under the influence of alcohol when the accident took place.
