Investigations have revealed the third cycle that was purchased for the sole purpose of the detonation of one of the six bombs was purchased from an owner of a shop in the Phadke Haud area. The shop owner was taken for interrogation.
Phadke Haud area has several cycle shops in close proximity.
Three bombs of the total 6 were placed in bicycles on the Jungli Maharaj road in the baskets on the front after purchasing three brand new bicycles which were all purchased on the morning of the blasts.
With the help of the serial numbers, embossed by the manufacturing company, of the bikes all the three cycles were traced to the original shops.
Earlier two cycles were found to be purchased from the same shop in Phadke Haud chowk. Sketches are being drawn after the suspects were being described by the owners and the employees of the shop.
Several others in the area were also questioned to find the third dealer but they were not successful in obtaining another purchaser's identity.
Footages from the CCTV cameras in many shops and restaurants were collected to identify men with the sketches. Every single frame was being analyzed meticulously. "We are expecting a major breakthrough," a police officer said.
