Male DNA found on Aarushi's pillow

The forensic experts have found new leads in the Aarushi- Hemraj double murder case after they told a Ghaziabad court on Tuesday that they could recover a partial male DNA from the pillow in the room of the teenager.

The senior scientist at the Central Forensic Science Laboratory BP Mahapatra had said that there were blood stains on the pillow that matched Aarushi's blood group apart from the male DNA.

Female DNA and blood stains were found all over the wall and door of Aaurshi's room and matched her blood group. The CBI today had produced at least 13 exhibits of the 29 parcels in the special trial court.

The senior scientist also said that the blood stains on the bedsheet of Hemraj's room were his own but DNA was not yet generated.

Blood samples were observed on Hemraj's vest, T-Shirt, Undergarments and wrist watch and they were all found t be positive but no DNA profile was generated.
The gate that lead to the terrace where he was found dead also bore his blood stains and a partial male DNA.

On the other hand, the defense counsel, Manoj Shishodia, has sought from the trial court the letters from the Superintendent of Police in CBI which were written to the forensic department.

Further hearings would continue on Wednesday.
