At least 40 passengers were killed when a bus, on which they were aboard, plunged into a deep gorge in Chamba district of Himachal Pradesh today. The primary reports have indicated that as many as 32 persons were killed on the spot. The eight others, who were critically injured, have succumbed to injuries on their way to the hospital.

It may be noted that this bus was on its way to Chamba region from Dulera. The sources said that the casualties may increase. The injured persons were shifted to a private hospital and their condition was not satisfactory. Meanwhile, the chief minister  PK Dhumal expressed his displeasure over the accident.
