Man arrested with 12 live cartridges at IGIA

On Friday a man was arrested after he had 12 live cartridges in his hand carry during the security check at Terminal 1D in Indira Gandhi International Airport, IGIA, New Delhi.

Phuntso Dorjee, had ignorantly placed his baggage in the X-ray machine during a security check which revealed that he had been carrying cartridges at 4:50 am in the morning according to a senior police official.

Phuntso lived in Bomdila Urban C in West Kameng district, Arunachal Pradesh's, and was boarding a flight from SpiceJet SG-885, to Bagdogra.

During the security check, 12 live cartridges 0.32 caliber were recovered from his baggage. He was arrested by the CISF authorities immediately and then handed over to the police for further action.

Dorjee had showed his valid arms licenses which would expire by the end of the next year, 31 December 2013. However, the arms license was valid only in Arunachal Pradesh and Assam only.
