In West Bengal at Bamungachi, a woman was gang raped by the land lord and four other of his friends on Monday night.

The woman, 24 year old, was working as a bar singer at a local bar. She was invited by the land lord for a drink at his house. After getting her drunk, the land lord along with four other friends, had sexually assaulted her on the night. The woman had filed an FIR with the police.

After the FIR was filed the land lord was arrested today and medical tests were conducted on him which revealed that the registered complaint was true.

The incidences of such atrocious activities had increased greatly in the recent days. Is the government not strict enough, are the men turning more criminal or is it solely the negligence of the women to protect themselves and wear proper dresses that is leading to the crimes?
