Six BJP members walk out of JPC in the 2G spectrum probe

In a panel meeting of the Joint Parliamentary Committee, JPC, which has been examining the 2G spectrum scam investigations, six of the BJP members had walked out of the meeting. BJP had demanded that both the finance minister P Chidambaram and the Prime Minister Manmohan Singh take an oath before the panel.

The members of the BJP who had walked out of the Joing Parliamentary Committee were Yashwant Singh, Yashwant Sinha, Ravishankar Prasad, Dharmendra Pradhan and Gopinath Munde.

BJP continues to allege that Congress had used unparliamentary language at the meeting saying that the party is trying to marr the proceedings of the parliament.

The JPC was convened to decide who was to be called out by the formed to investigate the 2G spectrum scam.

Oppositions are still firm on the issue of the resignation of the Prime Minister in the Rajya Sabha and the Lok Sabha along with the cabinet ministers while the government has continued to defend itself.
