At Motilal lane the gruesome finding of a decomposing dead body was found in the Bandra Kurla Complex, BKC. The body was identified to be that of a resident of Shivaji nagar. residents of the area noted that the odor in the area was unpleasant and had complained to the police after the smell had spread to the neighborhood.

Police speculated that the killing could be involving financial clashes. The person was identified as Mumtaz Ali Aziullah, 55, after the control room had received a phone call about the incident. The police had registered a case initially as an accidental death which was later changed to murder after the reports from the post mortem.

An injury was found on the deceased head on the right side. The family of the person was identified with a diary that was present in his pocket. The family had registered a missing case on August 22 after he had not returned from work.

He was a floor tile polishing contractor who had not returned back home. Investigations have begun, the inspector said.
