Slightly after the clock struck one in the afternoon, Assam was shook by mild earthquakes on Tuesday. A few parts of the north-east India had also experienced minor tremors.
The quake was measured at 3.1 on the Richter scale when the earthquake struck at 1:13 pm on Tuesday. The epicenter was the Morigaon in central Assam.
The minor quakes had caused no damage to the property or lives as of yet according to the officials.
A few reports had confirmed that there were tremors being felt in other parts of North-eastern India too.
