On the birthday of the remarkable thinker and a highly renowned teacher, Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan who had also served the nation as the President, Governor of Uttarakhand, Aziz Khureshi had greeted the academicians of the nation commemorating the eve of Teachers Day.
He honored the noted teachers of Uttarakhand presenting them the President's award for their remarkable services to the field of education. He said that the teaching has become a highly challenging role with great responsibility vested on their shoulders, especially in this age of information technology. He also said that it was their responsibility to inculcate and promote the creative ideas in students.
“Inculcating values like patience, discipline, sensitivity and compassion in their students is a very important part of a teacher's work," he said
On the same note, Puducherry Chief Minister N Rangasamy also greeted the teaching community. And talking on the birth anniversary of Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan he said that teachers' primary role was to shape the students now to be the responsible citizens of tomorrow by imparting their knowledge. He also mentioned that with high standard of discipline and excellent level of knowledge the nation would reach greater heights.
