Three Rajdhanis stalled in Jharkhand

Three Rajdhani's which started from New Delhi had been stalled a few hours into their journey at Jharkhand after Bharatiya Janata Party MLA along with his supporters had agitated on the railway tracks. The BJP party members has started the agitation at 5 am today and continued till 9 am until the Railway authorities had succeeded in clearing the tracks for the trains to continue their journey.

Amit Yadav, the MLA from Parkatta, originally intended a 12 hour agitation from 5am to 5 pm to protest against the prestigious trains not scheduled halt at Parsabad, his constituency. Two of the Rajdhanis were going towards West Bengal while another was was Odisha bound. The Howrah Rajdhani was stalled at Sharmatand, the Sealdah Rajdhani at Parsabad, and the Bhubaneswar Rajdhani at the Koderma Railway station.

BJP protesters had proudly posed for the media cameras whilst shouting slogans as a part of the protests while the railway outfits were mere audience to the scene. Passengers were forced into this helpless situation as they waited endlessly for the trains to make a move. According to a few sources, local administration knew about the MLA's plans, but took no preventive action. Protesters had been pacified by the authorities of the Railways who had assured them that their demands would be considered.
