US storm: Another storm hits NY, NJ

Barely within two weeks after Sandy hurricane created havoc and left dozens killed in the United States of America, another cyclonic storm had hit the country. Although the latest storm was said to be weaker than the earlier one, it would nonetheless create enough damage since it had coupled with heavy winds. In fact, the government already issued alert to the people in New York and New Jersey and asked them not to come out of their homes.

On Wednesday afternoon, snowfall was recorded followed by heavy rain. The moment the alert went air, new constructions came to a halt. As many as 1300 flights have been cancelled to John F Kennedy airport.  Lakhs of people have already lost power cut in New York state especially in Long Island. In fact. Long Island Power Authority said by Wednesday evening the number of customers who lost power cut from rose to 1,98,000. Officials asked people not to come out of their residences after five in the evening.
