Thackeray Children file complaint to remove fake social network accounts

Amidst the heated controversy going on over whether to amend the section 66A of the Information Technology act or not, the young family members of the late Bal Thackeray, the main protagonist of the whole drama are playing their part as well. The latest news is that Raj Thackeray's daughter Urvashi and son Amit filed a complaint with the cyber cell of the Mumbai police crime branch seeking action against the fake Facebook and Twitter profiles created under their name .
"We want to clarify that Raj Thackeray, his daughter Urvashi and son Amit do not have accounts on social networking sites - Facebook and Twitter," said Sachin More, a spokesperson of MNS.
"There are fake accounts created on their names. We approached the cyber cell four days ago regarding Urvashi's fake account while another complaint was sent on Friday regarding a fake account on the name of Amit Thackeray. We are also in touch with the cyber cell of the Mumbai police to delete the fake accounts created under the name of Raj Thackeray" he added.
Additional commissioner of police (crime) Niket Kaushik confirmed that the complaint had been received and the fake profiles had been blocked. Meanwhile, Thackeray children appealed people not to be trapped with the fake profiles.
