Even though there is a court directive for abolishing corporal punishment from our educational system , the reports of students being beaten up keep on coming to the light. In a shocking incident, a class IV student from Betul district in Madhya Pradesh , died after he was beaten up by his teachers for allegedly breaking a mere bucket.
The incident took place a fortnight ago. The 9 years old student suffered injuries on his back and neck and was treated in a local hospital first. The boy was then moved to a Bhopal hospital when his condition worsened. He succumbed to his injures on Tuesday.
It's high time to have stricter rules regarding this issue as it has been proven to be a real menace to the budding students and to the society as a whole. For the authorities it's action time now..
