With the rivalry between the Congress and BJP in the assembly polling at Himachal Pradesh and Gujarat, the voting has been going neck to neck in most of the places.

Currently, the BJP has a greater lead in Gujarat with a lead in 61 seats as opposed to Congress who have a lot to catch up to with only a lead in 31 seats. The total number of seats are only 182 which leaves both the parties only 91 more seats.

The early picture of the polling results which would be announced today seem to be in Gujarat's favor.

However it is to be noted that the Gujarat trails at a few places which were earlier in their control. They have lost the same to Congress now. RC Faldu, the state president of BJP is behind Ragavji Patel the candidate from Congress in Jamnagar Rural. Sitting Congress MP Vithal Radadyia trails behind BJP at Dhoraji while Gujarat finance minister Vaju Vala has a handsome lead in Rajkot West.

Shwetha Bhatt, the wife of the IPS officer who is competing against Modi in Maninagar is also trailing.
