Manipur experienced a minor quake in the wee hours today after tremors measuring a minor 4.2 on the Richter jolted Churachandpur Region in the state. The India Meteorological Department said that the quake had its epicentre at latitude 24.3 degrees North and longitude 93.1 degrees East.
The origin of the earthquake that occurred at 3:30 am today, was 10km below the epicenter. No Damages were currently reported.
Manipur was was the target of a bigger earthquake measuring 5.9 on Richter in November 2011.
