President of Egypt, Hosni Mubarak was recently ousted after he was given a life sentence for the unrest and the protests against the 900 odd deaths that took place in the country. He was given the sentence after he failed to prevent the deaths as a president.
In the trial that questioned him on the deaths of over 900 protesters during the uprising, it has been confirmed that he lied to the court that he was not aware of them. He told that the top officials kept him in the dark about the situation and its seriousness to keep charges against him ordering the killings at bay. But the truth eventually came out. A mission found out that he had the live TV feed in his palace that showed him the progress of the protests and the crackdown too.
A lawyer said that by means of a satellite TV station, there was live material from cameras installed in Tahrir and several surrounding areas that he could watch all 18 days of the uprising.
This will definitely jeopardize his position in the country as the president and if it can be learnt if he ordered the killings, the incident could become one of the world's worst massacres.
